The MODON Stage features 113 km and crosses a large portion of desert

Al Mirfa (Bab Al Najoum), 9 February 2024 – Good morning from Stage 2 of the second edition of the UAE Tour Women, the one and only UCI Women’s WorldTour race in the Middle East, organised by Abu Dhabi Sports Council and taking place from 8 to 11 February. It’s time for the MODON Stage, 113 km from Al Mirfa (Bab Al Najoum) to Madinat Zayed, with over 60 km across the desert.

The peloton, 114 riders strong, passed km 0 at 13.27.

The Route

The stage of the desert. It starts from Al Mirfa on the Arabian Gulf coast and crosses a large portion of desert (over 60 km) to Madinat Zayed. There are wide, straight roads punctuated by sequences of roundabouts once you arrive in the built-up area.
